Interior and Exterior Painting in Vancouver

Big painting companies are built for whole houses. Many homeowners just need one room refreshed, scuffed trim fixed before a move, or a fence and railing brought back. That is the work I do.

Good paint work is mostly preparation. I patch, sand, mask and protect your floors and furniture before I open a can, and I clean up at the end of every day.

What's included

Every job is scoped with you before it starts. A typical job can include the following.

  • Interior walls, ceilings and trim
  • Touch-ups and patch painting before a sale or move-out
  • Exterior fences, railings and stairs
  • Small drywall patches before painting
  • Floor and furniture protection, and daily cleanup

What Vancouver homeowners should know

A lot of my indoor painting in Vancouver is for move-outs and rentals, where a landlord or tenant needs walls and trim looking clean before a handover. Interior painting runs all year, which makes it the main painting work through the wet season.

Common questions

Do you paint whole houses?

I focus on smaller jobs that one careful person can do well, like single rooms, trim, stairs, fences and railings. For a full exterior repaint, a painting crew is usually the better fit, and I will tell you so.

Do I need to buy the paint?

Either way works. I can pick up the paint you choose, or use paint you already have. We agree on this before the job starts.

Can you paint before a move-out inspection?

Yes. Tell me your handover date and I will plan the work so the paint is dry and the room is clean in time.

How do you price a job?

I look at your photos or come and see the job, then give you a fixed price for the agreed work before anything starts. If I find something unexpected, I stop and talk to you before doing anything extra.

Which areas do you cover?

Vancouver, Burnaby, North Vancouver, Richmond and New Westminster. If you are just outside those, send a text and ask.

What should I send for a quote?

A sentence about the job, two or three phone photos and your neighbourhood or nearest cross street. That is usually enough for a first answer the same day.

How it works

No call centre and no surprises. You deal with the person who does the work.

1

Call or text with photos

Tell me what needs doing and where you are. Two or three phone photos are usually enough for a first answer.

2

Agree on scope and price

I look at the job, tell you honestly what it needs, and we agree on the work and the price before I start.

3

Careful work, clean finish

I protect your home, do the work properly, clean up every day and send you photos of the finished job.

Have a job in mind?
